CPSR Law Working Group

MISSION STATEMENT FOR CPSR LAW GROUP


The CPSR Law Group ("Group") shall provide the CPSR main advisory board ("Board") withpolicy analysis concerning any Federal or State issues concerning Computer Law which the Board requests.

The Group's highest commitment is to provide the Board with informative, accurate and knowledgeable analysis concerning issues which are of interest to the Board. The goal of this Group is to provide the Board with assistance in creating and making sound policy positions.

No member of the Group shall be held liable by the Board or any third parties for any members' opinions expressed or implied.

The members of the Group are committed to maintaining as current information as possible concerning matters which the Board deems appropriate.

The members shall make efforts to attend meetings, speak, discuss, and inform any parties which the Board deems appropriate to become involved with.

The members may redress the Board for permission to publish, verbally or in writing, any opinions which the Board has or has not adopted.

Membership in the Group does not imply, explicitly or implicitly, agreement with the Board's policies or opinions. Our goal is to assist and provide input to the Board in adopting legally-sound positions in the areas of Computer Law. CPSR members may join the Group
